One of my obsessions is Golden Goose Deluxe Brand. They were established in the year 2000 after the collaboration between Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo in Italy. Through the years, they have become a worldwide designer brand with boutiques in multiple countries, and it’s one that many fashion lovers are drawn to.

I’ve followed Golden Goose for ages and I would often check out the collection on FarFetch, as they always had an amazing selection, but I never ended up getting any because I always found them a bit pricey and seemed too close in style to Converse, so they were always on my mental wishlist. A couple of years ago, Adam was the one who first got into the brand and he actually got his first pair of their Superstar sneakers last year, which was what pushed me to explore them deeper. Having seen his in person and realizing the uniqueness of each pair because they’re artisanal, I was even more curious. As the Golden Goose Superstar sneakers are pre-distressed and made to appear vintage, they are all hand done so there’s no two pairs alike. Some have heavier wear than others, so the variation is wide.

If you’re shopping offline, it might be a good idea to compare several options and pick from them, but if you’re ordering online, you have to hope you get a good pair!The pair of sneakers that I liked from the beginning are the ones above in the main image, as they’ve been in rotation a long time, but I never ended up purchasing them.
